Police: Brunswick man seriously injured in motorcycle crash

BRUNSWICK HILLS -- Police say that Glen Hartman, 41, of Brunswick, was seriously injured last night in a motorcycle accident in the 300 block of Pearl Road in Brunswick Hills.

Just before 10 p.m. Thursday, Hartman was traveling southbound on Pearl Road when he had to quickly decelerate, causing his motorcycle to lie down on its side and skid down the roadway.

He was then thrown from his motorcycle and struck his head and body on the roadway and gravel tree lawn.

He was not wearing a helmet.

Hartman was taken by LifeFlight to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was treated and admitted for injuries sustained in the accident.

As of Friday afternoon, he is in stable but serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit.

The accident and the causative factors are currently under investigation by the Brunswick Hills Police Department.
