Having white teeth is an important part of Lyle's job. Our tester says, "I'm a marketing manager for a small, low-voltage structure cable company, and I do a lot of networking events, and I also go out to meet clients, and first impressions are everything, so having a good smile is a big plus."

That's why he wanted to try the Ionic White Light Activated Tooth Whitening System. It claims to whiten your teeth in just 21 minutes using LED lights.

After reading the directions, Lyle was ready to go.  First, he squeezed the whitening gel onto the mouthpiece. Then, the whitening gel accelerator on top of that.

Then he placed the mouthpiece in his mouth for 2 minutes. When the built-in timer went off, Lyle had to remove the mouthpiece and swish the remaining gel for 5 to 7 minutes, then rinse.

But Lyle wasn't done yet. He had to repeat the process 2 more times. According to Lyle, the process was "a little time-consuming, but once you got the hang of it the first time around, it was okay."

And what about the taste? Lyle was not a fan: "Very gritty. It said it was supposed to be a minty flavor, I didn't get that. It had more of a plasticky type of taste to it."

When all the steps were followed and repeated twice, Lyle could examine his teeth and determine whether the Ionic White actually whitened his teeth in 21 minutes.

He says, "I don't know if it really worked. It gave a little bit of tingling at first, but when I saw the results, very little difference. Out of 5 stars, I give the Ionic White 2 stars."

The Ionic White Light Activated Tooth Whitening System comes with a whitening rinse to maintain your results, and is only available online.
