CLEVELAND -- The Great Lakes Science Center is diving deep into history with a new Titanic exhibit.

"Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition" runs from June 1, 2013 - Jan. 5, 2014 and features hundreds of the ship's artifacts recovered from the ocean floor. You can also experience what it was like to be on board the massive ship with room re-creations and personal stories that all highlight elements of her maiden voyage.

"Discover the perfume from a maker who was traveling to New York to sell his samples, china etched with the logo of the elite White Star Line, articles of clothing and many other personal objects which, reveal the haunting, poignant connections to lives abruptly ended or forever altered," the Great Lakes Science Center teases on its website.

Costumed re-enactors will be on site along with a memorial wall that features the names of those who died and survived the Titanic's ill-fated journey.

More than 1,500 died when the Titanic famously sank on April 15, 1912 after colliding with an iceberg.

In addition, the Great Lake Science Center will showcase "Titanica" -- a film that dives to the depths of the ship's final resting place -- in the OMNIMAX Theater.
