Kermit was brought to the APL by a Good Samaritan who had found the dog stumbling through traffic one morning after being hit by a car. The dog was in immediate need of medical attention. He was underweight and filthy, his front right leg had been broken, and he was in shock. It was also discovered that Kermit was completely deaf! Kermit soon underwent surgery to be neutered and to splint his leg. While recovering in his cage, Kermit caught the eye of a new APL Dog Walking Volunteer who had recently lost one of his dogs to cancer. That wonderful volunteer offered to foster Kermit. Kermit turned on the charm and his foster dad adopted him, giving Kermit his forever home and 4 canine siblings!
