Hubbard was a stray that was picked up running loose in Cleveland. He came to the APL as part of our dog transfer program with the City of Cleveland Kennels. He was quiet, underweight, filthy, could barely stand up, and had to be lifted and coaxed to walk on his leash. Hubbard had several health issues-a skin condition, eye infections/entropion, and he tested positive for heartworm. Hubbard underwent surgery to correct his eye problems and began two months of heartworm treatment in the home of a loving APL foster care volunteer. He came back to us as an active, happy 120-pound puppy. Hubbard got his happy ending when a family who had had a Great Dane fell in love with him and adopted him. He loves his new mom and dad and his human-and canine and feline-siblings!
