Of all the projects currently under construction by the Ohio Department of Transportation, many drivers say I-480 is the worst.
"A lot of semis are going 50, 60 miles per hour and don't realize they have to veer to your right," said driver Gail Lipinski. "And they're still going and people are stopping. So it's very treacherous."
Many drivers say it's confusing, dangerous and that there's bound to be an accident.
ODOT has closed the Ridge Road entrance ramp to I-480 eastbound. Motorists are being directed to use the Brookpark Road entrance ramp.
Even then, drivers still complain of having to go out of their way to get on the interstate.
"It's kind of difficult the way they have it situated," said driver Tammy Mitchell. "You really can't tell which part you're supposed to exit at. So it's kind of scary."
ODOT also has projects on I-77, Lake Road/Route 6 in Bay Village, and Route 422 between I-271 and I-91.
ODOT says the best advice for drivers is to be patient and brake in work zones.
Construction on I-480 is expected to be completed by May 2004.
