The fifth Friday night of the 2013 high school football season is in the books!
Most area teams took the field tonight looking to defeat a conference foe and put themselves in position to contend for a league championship in the second half of the season.
In tonight's Friday Night Fever "Big Game," visiting Brecksville-Broadview Heights defeated North Olmsted 42-10. Quarterback Tim Tupa threw three touchdown passes and rushed for two more for the Bees.
Two of the night's biggest rivalry contests featured Kent Roosevelt traveling to Ravenna and Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary traveling to take on Akron Archbishop Hoban. In both cases, the road team came out victorious, as the Rough Riders won 28-14 and the Fighting Irish won 41-6.
In one of the night's closest contests, Massillon Jackson defeated Canton GlenOak 21-20 to pick up a pivotal Federal League win.
