MIAMI -- It was strikeouts by rookie right-hander Jose Fernandez that ended the Cleveland Indians' winning streak.
He pitched eight innings and struck out 14, to help Miami beat the Indians 10-0, snapping their eight-game win streak.
Miami's All-Star became the first major league pitcher to strike out at least 13 in consecutive games since Randy Johnson in 2004.
Fernandez (8-5) set a Marlins record for the most strikeouts in consecutive starts. He had 13 Sunday in a win over Pittsburgh.
The Tribe takes on the Marlins again Saturday night.
