CLEVELAND -- The Teen Choice Live! Tour, which included a Feb. 16 stop in Cleveland at the Wolstein Center, has been canceled.
A press release indicates that ticket buyers have been contacted about their refunds.
The tour's lineup would have featured performances from pop stars Megan & Liz along with Olympic gold medalists Gabrielle Douglas, Aly Raisman and Jordyn Wieber.
The following statement about the decision to cancel the tour was posted on TeenChoiceLive.com:
Dear Teen Choice Live fans:
All of us involved with Teen Choice Live are saddened to announce that the Tour is being cancelled. Please know this was an extremely difficult decision to make.
First, we want to thank all the fans of Teen Choice, our athletes and musicians who have been so supportive of the Tour. You have been an inspiration!
We also want to thank the many venues and support teams who have been helping mount the Tour.
Based on circumstances beyond our control and complex scheduling conflicts we are unfortunately unable to achieve our goal of bringing the energy of Teen Choice to local audiences.
Ticket refunds are available at the point of purchase. If you have any questions please contact your local venue.
Stay tuned for updates about all things Teen Choice...and once again...thank you for your support!
