CLEVELAND -- A pair of robbers ran into trouble overnight, when one of their would-be victims shot one of them in the chest during an attempted robbery early Wednesday morning.
The shooting was reported in the area of West 110th Street and Lorain Avenue before 2 a.m.
A man was approached by two men in an attempted robbery. During the altercation, the man being robbed shot one of the robbers in the chest, police said.
That suspect was taken to the hospital. Police arrested the other.
Earlier in the night, another man was allegedly robbed by the same two men at W. 65th Street and Detroit Avenue.
Police recovered that man's credit card and wallet from a trash can at a gas station near W. 65th and Denison Avenue.
No other information was released. Police are investigating.
