MENTOR -- A 30-year-old woman is facing multiple charges on allegations she attacked a Walgreens employee after becoming upset over a prescription.

Mentor Police say it began when they responded to reports of a disorderly customer at the store at 9400 Mentor Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. Monday.

Authorities say Vanessa A. Astraitis, of Mentor, became "violent and knocked shelves over" in the store.

As she left the store, Astraitis was reportedly followed by store employees as they notified police of the situation.

Once in the parking lot, police say Astraitis got out of her vehicle and attacked one of the workers before fleeing the scene.

Astraitis was found a short time later sitting in the middle of a nearby front yard. Her vehicle was reportedly in the middle of Chillocothe Road.

She has been charged with felony vandalism, misdemeanor assault and OVI.
