Cleveland police release video of suspect in violent home invasion

CLEVELAND -- Police now have video of the man suspected in the assault, robbery and kidnapping of an elderly couple on Victory Boulevard on June 17.

On June 17, police were called to the 3900 block of Victory Boulevard for an elderly man calling to report that his wife had been kidnapped.

The man, 82, said upon answering a knock on his door, three men rushed in, assaulted him and his wife and threatened them with a gun.

The man was then restrained with duct tape. The trio left with the victims' property and his wife, 80.

The car used was later found with the elderly woman in the trunk.

The couple was taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The next day, at 1:48 p.m. a man tried to use the victims' stolen credit card at a gas station in the area of W. 117th Street and Bellaire Avenue.

He was seen getting out of the passenger side of a Nissan Versa and entering the gas station, where he attempted to use the stolen credit card.

He was wearing a white T-shirt, red pants and black shoes.
