SOLON -- When police arrived at a Country View Lane home just after 11 a.m. Tuesday, they found the owner in the driveway by his car armed with a loaded .38 caliber handgun in a holster on his waist.
Police went to the home after a third party called them and said that the owner of the home and a business partner were reportedly on the way to the home after an argument over the selection of a Realtor for the home.
The caller told police that both men had handguns on them.
Police talked to the owner, Stanley Stone, 86, of Shaker Heights, and then learned Stone did not have a permit to carry the gun.
The business partner was contacted by phone by police and stated that he had no intention of going to the home and would not do anything to harm Stone.
Police issued a court summons to Stone for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and he is expected to appear in Bedford Municipal Court to respond to those charges.
