AKRON -- As a woman was driving in the 600 block of Elma Avenue Thursday evening, she reportedly noticed two men walking in the street in front of her vehicle.
To alert both walkers that she was driving up behind them, police say the 59-year-old woman flashed her lights. But when she passed by, police say one of the men fired several shots at her vehicle -- one striking her in the back of her right shoulder.
She was taken to Akron City Hospital with injuries that police say do not appear to be life-threatening.
