WILLOUGHBY HILLS -- A Willoughby Hills man surrendered the day after he was named Fugitive of the Week.
Ace Mason walked into the Willoughby Hills police station about 8 a.m. Tuesday to face charges of abduction and felonious assault. He was accused of the vicious beating of his girlfriend on October 24.
Mason, 35, came in voluntarily, according to U.S. Marshals, who had distributed his picture and description to news media outlets across Northeast Ohio on Monday.
He was the second Fugitive of the Week to surrender or be captured in less than 24 hours.
On Monday, fugitive Darvell Smith was caught hiding in an attic on Cleveland's east side.
