Still trying to book a trip for Thanksgiving? It's not too late. According to Farecompare.com, forget the usual rule of booking a flight on Tuesdays and get yours ASAP. You can save a little coin by flying "on" Turkey Day or by booking an overnight or red-eye flight.

Connecting flights are also a little bit cheaper than flying direct. Also, consider driving part of the way to a larger airport if you live in a small or mid-sized town. Airlines tend to be more competitive at larger airports.

Can Facebook make you spend more? As strange as it might sound, the answer is yes. According to a web article on The Today Show, Facebook can influence you in multiple ways. Two professors say that research shows using online social networking sites can determine your behavior of self-control. They say that social media sites, including Facebook, boost self esteem, which results in self indulgence, leading some to spend more money.

LG electronics is recalling about 161,000 electric ranges because of a burn and fire hazard. The burners on the ranges can fail to turn off after being switched off and the temperature setting can increase unexpectedly while in use.

There has been 80 complaints so far, but no injuries. Five different models are involved in the recall and if you have an LG stove, call the manufacturer at 855-400-4638 or check out www.cspc.gov for more information.
