STARK COUNTY -- ABCD Transportation Service, a company that drives dialysis patients to get their treatment says, it will keep services running despite a funding cut.

Channel 3's John Anderson says 18 patients who rely on ABCD were told they would no longer get rides to their life-saving treatments. All part of budget cuts in Washington.

But tonight these patients can breathe a little easier, as their trips will continue.

Seeing these vans rolling today was a beautiful sight for patients like Deborah Flowers. Deborah relies on ABCD Transportation for rides to and from her kidney dialysis treatment.

Deborah got a letter saying the rides will end due to the sequester budget cuts in Washington.

But the vans will keep rolling.

The CEO of the transportation company says the board met Tuesday night to come up with a plan.

Will Dent said, "We can't stop the vans so we have to raise the money ourselves."

Dent says the goal is to raise $40,000 through public fundraising. He says the rides will continue for all 18 dialysis patients.
