CLEVELAND -- Cleveland's new convention center complex will open its doors more than a month earlier than scheduled.
A ribbon cutting event has been set for June 14 on Mall C with a community open house on June 15. The convention center had been scheduled to originally open in mid-July.
The complex includes a new convention center and a medical mart. Developers say the $465 million project, funded in part by a sales tax and hotel room tax, will come in under budget as well.
Also today, a new partnership has been announced, between the HIMSS Global Center for Health Innovation -- formerly known as the medical mart -- and a local company. Alego Health is a health care I-T company.
