CLEVELAND -- Cleveland is playing host to India's Ambassador to the United States this weekend.
Ambassador Nirupama Rao is in town meeting with area leaders, including Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, and attending several events in Northeast Ohio's Indian-American community.
On Friday night she spoke at a reception in her honor downtown. She described the relationship between the U.S. and India as transformed from years ago.
She says it has transformed for the better.
Friday night's event was hosted by several local groups, including the Federation of India Community Association, the India Cultural Garden and the Ariel International Center.
