It is being touted as vital to Cleveland's children, schools, neighborhoods and economic climate.

A coalition of political leaders, businesses , labor and church groups are working to pass Issue 107, a 15-mill school levy that would cost the average homeowner $294/year.

The money would implement an ambitious transformation plan for 4 years.

Recently, opponents have raised questions about a possible state takeover and new school funding plan.

Tom Beres and Plain Dealer Columnists Joe Frolik and Kevin O'Brien discuss the latest on the levy campaign with Mayor Frank Jackson and Schools CEO Eric Gordon on this edition of Between the Lines.
