Authorities say Steven Tomasone, a neighbor of former Jimmy Dimora, bribed Maple Heights school officials in order for his company, Southwest Companies of Independence, to secure work with the district.

Tomasone pleaded not guilty in federal court in Akron on Friday.

According to the indictment, Tomasone used a system of bribery and kickbacks to two former Maple Heights officials -- treasurer Christopher Krause and board member Santina"Sandy" Klimkowski -- and in exchange, his company secured $250,000 in work.

Channel 3 reached out to both Tomasone and his attorney on Friday but they did not return our calls for comment.
