For the first time, the names of Cuyahoga County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora and County Auditor Frank Russo have appeared in print in paperwork connected to the case.
They are mentioned in a questionnaire filled out by prospective jurors in the trial of Thomas J. Greco Jr.
Greco is a former MetroHealth Medical Center executive who is charged with accepting bribes from a construction company. He allegedly paid the company back by approving padded payments to the firm.
The questionnaire asks jurors: "Are you aware of the ongoing investigation of Cuyahoga County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora and Cuyahoga County Auditor Frank Russo?"
Greco's case is separate from the matters Dimora and Russo are under investigation for since the FBI and IRS raided their homes and offices, and those of other county officials on July 28, 2008.
Dimora and Russo have not been charged and have denied any wrongdoing.
