CLEVELAND -- A new camera will soon be up tracking drivers' speeds in Cleveland.
The city has sent notice that the new camera will be activated at 4500 Woodland Avenue. Drivers can start receiving speed warnings beginning March 8. Tickets based on the camera's information will be issued beginning March 21.
The speed camera was added following the removal of a camera in the 8800 block of Broadway in July 2011. The camera was redeployed at the request of city council.
WKYC's Investigator Tom Meyer has taken a hard look at the city's traffic cam program and whether it has been effective in making the roads safer. You can read Tom Meyer's investigation on wkyc.com: http://on.wkyc.com/InvestigatorTrafficCams
