There are new questions about diet soda.
According to a Purdue University expert's review of recent scientific studies over the last five years, drinking diet soda does not lead to better health than drinking regular soda.
The review was published as an opinion piece in the journal "Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism."
The American Beverage Association dismissed the report saying it was "an opinion piece, not a scientific study."
The association describes low-calorie sweeteners as an effective tool in weight loss.
