KENT -- This fall, exploratory majors will be the number one major for incoming freshmen at Kent State University.
It's a trend across the country on college campuses. Instead of calling it "undecided" the new term is "exploratory."
At Kent State, the idea is to help students decide by the middle of the second year. Advisers say it's better to go in as an exploratory major than to switch majors, which can make it harder to graduate on time.
Kent State even has a dorm that undecided students can choose to live in.
