PEPPER PIKE-- Ursuline College says classes and activities will resume tomorrow (Tuesday, July 23) in the wake of a tornado that left damage across the campus.
The college says some summer classes have been relocated to The Pilla Student Learning Center. Students uncertain where classes are being held should contact their instructors. Students with classes in Pilla should use the Fairmont entrance and parking lots adjacent to the building.
All remaining summer camps at the college have been canceled. The college says families should contact camp staffers to determine if the camp will go on at an alternate location.
All upcoming admission events, including the College Prep Program on Wednesday, July 24 and Thursday, July 25 will take place as scheduled.
A spokeswoman says the Fall Semester will begin on schedule on August 19 and orientation for new students will go on as planned. Additional details are available on the Ursuline College web site.
The National Weather Service has confirmed a strong EF-1 tornado with winds in excess of 100 m.p.h. touched down on Saturday morning. The storm damaged the gymnasium and left trees down across campus.
