CLEVELAND -- Hundreds of teachers, parents and community leaders are trying to save jobs in the Cleveland schools.

A rally was held outside the Cleveland Board of Education Monday.

They are calling on the governor to release some of the state's $250 million from the state's "rainy day fund" to help with cuts.

Regarding the request, Kasich's spokesman Rob Nichols said, "Ohio just dug its way out of an $8 billion budget hole and provided some relief to Ohio taxpayers who had been abused for too long, and now they want to raid rainy funds and put us back under water. That is the exact same mentality that got Ohio into the mess in the first place."
