MANSFIELD -- Do you believe in ghosts?
Many say you will after visiting the famously freaky Ohio State Reformatory.
GUIDE | Halloween happenings
The ominous structure, which was built in 1934, better known as the Mansfield Reformatory, is well-known for its ghost stories having been featured on numerous paranormal TV shows from SyFy's "Ghost Hunters" to Travel Channel's "Ghost Adventures."
After the prison closed in 1984, many believe ghosts took over.
Throughout the year a series of ghost hunts and spooky tours quickly sell out as thousands come to the "Shawshank" prison seeking a taste of something terrifying.
Each Halloween, dozens of the undead stumble inside the castle-like prison ready to stir up screams in the Mansfield Reformatory's annual Haunted Prison Experience.
In 2013, the haunted attraction is themed as "Supernatural."
The haunted experience takes guests through some of the prison's notorious features, including two cell blocks, "the hole" and the polished Central Guard Room.
Are you brave enough?
