EAST UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Two men were killed in a two-car crash in Wayne County Sunday afternoon.
The crash was reported around 1:55 p.m. on U.S. 250 east, west of Fountain Nook Road in East Union Township.
James Magyar, 55, of Sterling, Ohio, was headed west on U.S. 250 in his pickup truck when he went into the oncoming lane and struck an eastbound car head-on.
The truck rolled over and landed upright in the westbound lane.
The oncoming car, driven by Don Grossniklaus, 78, of Wooster, went off the south side of the road and hit a guardrail.
Magyar was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, Matthew Magyar, 23, as taken to Aultman Hospital in Canton. His injuries were not life-threatening. Both were wearing their seat belts.
Grossniklaus was also pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing his seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
U.S. 250 was closed for about 4 hours.
A total of 10 people have now been killed in traffic crashes in Wayne County, highway patrol said.
