PORTAGE COUNTY - A traffic stop in Portage County ended with Highway Patrol troopers finding two pounds of marijuana.
Troopers pulled a car over for a turn signal violation on I-76 near milepost 49 on September 20.
According to a release, troopers detected a smell of raw marijuana coming from the car. A search turned up a backpack in the trunk with the pot inside it. The street value of the marijuana is estimated at nearly $9,000.
Driver, Jeffrey C. Wickman Jr., 20, and passenger, Gregory P. Case, 29, both of Steubenville, are being held in the Portage County Jail. They face charges of aggravated trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.
