FLAT ROCK, Ohio -- A Seneca County man has been hospitalized for observation after Bellevue police say he set his house on fire and then sat on the front porch and fired shots from a handgun.
Sheriff's deputies were able to get Lloyd Hicks of Flat Rock to surrender and step away from the burning house after about 30 minutes.
Hicks was taken to Tiffin Hospital.
Bellevue police said they were first on scene and responded because Hicks' wife works in their city and had called for help from her job.
Hicks and his wife had reportedly argued earlier in the day, and he set the fire after she left, police said.
The Seneca County Sheriff's Office couldn't say if Hicks had been charged with any crime yet.
The Sandusky Register will have more in Friday's paper.
