CLEVELAND -- For weeks, production of "Captain America: Winter Soldier" transformed the Cleveland area into superhero central.

From the West Shoreway to Tremont to the Cleveland Museum of Art, Marvel's minions were scattered throughout the city filming multiple scenes for the sequel starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johannson, Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford.

But none of that work could have been done without the help of Wendall Hinkle -- a film instructor at Tri-C.

Hinkle, a Lakewood resident, scouted for locations throughout Cleveland, coordinated logistics and transported cast and crew. He worked as a location manager for "Captain America: Winter Soldier" and managed some of the on-site shooting details.

Hinkle is soon leaving for Tennessee in a similar role for the musical drama "Nashville."
