CLEVELAND -- The FBI says the rescue of three women held in captivity over a decade in Cleveland has revived public interest in separate cases involving a 14-year-old girl and 18-year-old woman who disappeared years ago.
The FBI said Friday that the rescue of the three women Monday had generated numerous inquiries about Christina Adkins and Ashley Summers.
Adkins was 18 and pregnant when she was last seen Jan. 10, 1995. Ashley was 14 when last seen July 6, 2007.
Each was last seen on Cleveland's west side, an area where three kidnap victims were found at the home of rape and kidnapping suspect Ariel Castro.
The FBI and Cleveland police appealed for tips on the unsolved cases. There was no immediate word on any new tips in the disappearances.
