Cleveland FD celebrates 150th anniversary at Tuesday's game

CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Division of Fire continues to celebrate its 150th Anniversary with a community outing at Progressive Field Tuesday, April 9.

Watch the Cleveland Indians take on the New York Yankees and witness tributes to Cleveland Firefighters.

The event begins at 4 p.m. and runs through the end of the game on Gateway Plaza outside Progressive Field.

Guests are encouraged to participate in the activities at Gateway Plaza, outside of the ballpark. Tickets to the Indians game must be purchased through the Cleveland Indians.

On Gateway Plaza:

  • View fire trucks and specialized apparatus
  • Fire safety activities for children
  • Cleveland Fire Honor Guard
  • Memorial Pipes & Drums
  • Cleveland Firefighter will sing the National Anthem
  • Cleveland Firefighter to throw out the first pitch

The event is presented with support of the Cleveland Division of Fire, the Western Reserve Fire Museum and Education Center, the MetroHealth Burn and Trauma Department, and tremendous individual and organizational sponsors.
