TOLEDO, Ohio -- An Indiana man is due in federal court to explain why he wants to withdraw his guilty plea to starting a fire at a mosque near Toledo.
Randy Linn, of St. Joe, Ind. is to face a judge Thursday morning in Toledo.
Linn asked to change his plea in January, saying he made a mistake and was in an emotional and depressed state when he pleaded guilty.
Prosecutors are opposing the move and say he made it clear that he knew what was doing while pleading guilty last December.
Linn said he set the fire at The Islamic Center of Greater Toledo last fall because he wanted revenge for the killings of American soldiers overseas.
A deal between prosecutors and Linn had called for him to receive a 20-year sentence.
