SOLON -- After stopping a driver on SOM Center Road for having phony license plates, police found a 40-caliber Smith and Wesson pistol where the car's jack was supposed to be kept and ammo in the car.
About 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, police stopped a car in the area of 6200 S.O.M. Center Road for a fictitious temporary tag. The driver also had a suspended driver's license and was arrested.
Officers searching the car located a 40-caliber pistol magazine and then, ultimately, the 40-caliber Smith and Wesson semi-automatic pistol it belonged to in the compartment intended to house the jack for the car.
Police determined the pistol was stolen from Alliance, Ohio in January, 2012.
Devin A. Glover, 29, of Youngstown was charged with driving under suspension, fictitious plates, expired plates, and felony receiving stolen property.
