ORRVILLE -- There is a push in Ohio for schools to share more resources and even people.
"It's not for every district but I have three great boards and staff," says Superintendent Jon Ritchie.
Back in 2008, Ritchie took on the Rittman Schools in addition to the Orrville School System. Since then he now oversees the Southeast Local School District.
He spends much of his time driving to the three locations, visiting schools, going to meetings and even attending evening sporting events.
He says the agreement saves the Orrville and Rittman Schools about $350,000 a year.
More districts are considering this approach, but Ritchie says it won't work for every district. The districts he supervises have a total of about 4,200 students.
