GEAUGA COUNTY -- Geauga County Judge David Fuhry has delayed the trial of T.J. Lane until January 2013.
Lane is accused in the shootings at Chardon High School in February that left three students dead.
Lane's trial was originally scheduled to begin on November 26. But on October 19, Lane's attorney requested a delay.
Lane will be tried as an adult. He has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
Lane's attorneys have said he suffers from hallucinations, psychosis and fantasies.
Lane faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole if convicted of the shootings Feb. 27 in the Chardon High School cafeteria.
The judge has set the start of the trial for January 14, 2013.
