SALEM TOWNSHIP -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol is looking into a serious accident that happened just after 1 a.m. Friday.
Troopers say Joni D. Parker, of Oak Harbor, was driving southbound on Woodrick Road when she went off the right side of the road.
Parker then hit a ditch, culvert and utility pole. Troopers tell WKYC the utility pole was sheared in half and entangled with her car. The power lines and transformer were held up by her car and were also damaged.
Parker was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from her car several feet from the accident.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this accident.
