CLEVELAND -- Police were forced to taser a man attempting to flee after robbing a local store.
Police received a call for a theft in progress around 6.55 p.m. at a W. 117th Street Target store. When police arrived at the scene, the suspect had already got into his car and was attempting to leave.
Officers attempted to pull the car over, but the suspect continued to flee.
The suspect, now identified as Brian English, 47, later crashed into a car and then a utility pole at W. 117th Street and Lake Avenue.
After hitting the pole, English continued on foot. Officers searched the area and quickly located the suspect in a yard on Edgewater Drive.
Officers tased the suspect after he continued to resist arrest. He was then taken into custody.
There is no word on wheter or not anyone was injured in the crash.
