LORAIN -- A man who skipped bail after being arrested for a variety of violent crimes is Fugitive of the Week.

Deputy U.S. Marshals and the Lorain County Sheriff's Department are searching for Christopher Barnes, 29, of Lorain. In early May Barnes was arrested and charged with felonious assault, abduction, and domestic violence.
He was released on bond and order to appear in court at a later date. He never appeared in court, and became a fugitive.
Barnes is still believed to be in the Lorain or Elyria area. He used to live in the 43200 block of Cooper Foster Road in Lorain.
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Tas Force is offering a reward for the information which leads to the capture of Christopher Barnes. Tips can be texted to 847411 (tip411), using the keyword Fugitive.
Callers can also use the Fugitive Hotline, at 1-866-4-WANTED. Anyone providing information can remain anonymous and still qualify for reward money.
