PARMA -- A police chase that started in Oakwood Village and ended in Parma reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour early Wednesday morning.
The chase began in Oakwood Village around 1:30 a.m.
The pursuit continued through Bedford and onto I-480. Police from Garfield Heights, Brooklyn and Parma joined the chase shortly after that.
Parma police were able to pin the driver on Ridge Road at Spring Garden Road. The suspect car collided with a police cruiser, damaging both vehicles.
The driver had 12 license suspensions, including the current suspension he was allegedly caught driving under, police said.
The driver will face charges in Oakwood Village, Garfield Heights and Parma. There's no word on whether other cities will follow suit.
Police said he was arrested for felony pursuit, driving under suspension and also for the damage to the police cruiser from the collision.
