AKRON -- The seven men and five women deliberating in the trial of Jimmy Dimora and Michael Gabor have gone home for the weekend and will return at 8:30 a.m. Monday to continue.
They deliberated 7 hours on Friday and 3 hours on Thursday and have yet to reach verdicts on the 37 counts contained in the indictment.
It has been eight weeks of testimony in the Cuyahoga County corruption trial of former Cuyahoga County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora and former county auditor employee Michael Gabor.
Dimora, 56, of Independence, is charged with 34 counts of bribery, conspiracy and racketeering. Gabor, 52, of Parma, is charged with 8 counts, including bribery and conspiracy, and including a charge that he bribed a Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court judge with $10,000 to rule in his favor.
