AKRON -- Federal prosecutors say Jimmy Dimora traded his influence for sexual favors from a married woman looking for a job.

Prosecutors say Gina Meuti-Coppers, the daughter of the former Bedford Heights police chief Dominic Meuti, asked Dimora to help her get a job either in Cuyahoga County or elsewhere to help get her more OPERS benefits.

On March 14, 2008, the FBI recorded a phone conversation as Coppers and Dimora discussed a sexual tryst at the Holiday Inn on Rockside Road in Independence.

She is heard to say that having sex with Dimora "is a wonderful thing." On another phone call recorded by the FBI, Meuti-Coppers tells Dimora, "I am always going to be the young, attractive, horny-as-hell individual."

Meuti-Coppers was once Bedford Heights' special assistant coordinator for senior citizens when Dimora was mayor. In 2008 she was a teacher at Goddard School in Twinsburg making about $2,000 per month.

In a number of phone calls played in the courtroom of U.S. District Court Judge Sara Lioi, Dimora and Meuti-Coppers discuss job possibilities, and how Dimora can help her get at least part-time work to start to at least "get you back into the PERS ranks, see?"

Dimora discusses how working 3 or 4 days a week to start would allow Meuti-Coppers to make more money than she is making at the school. She talks about what kind of job she'd like and how much she'd like to make, with OPERS benefits.

In another wiretapped phone call Dimora and co-defendant Michael Gabor are heard whispering to each other, making arrangements for Dimora and Meuti-Coppers to rendezvous at the Doubletree Hotel in Independence.

"All I need is like a queen-size bed," Dimora tells Gabor, who is going to put the room on his name so Dimora is not noticed or recognized. "I just don't want a little bed, you know what I mean," Dimora repeats.

They talk about how Dimora can get in and out of the hotel without people seeing him. "I can't go where's there's a lot of activity," he says. "Everybody sees you coming becuase you're right on Rockside."

Meuti-Coppers is currently employed as a records clerk at Bedford Municipal Court. She is paid $40,000 per year.
