CUYAHOGA COUNTY -- One of the mandates for the new county government is to be a catalyst to help create more jobs.

Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald is announcing economic development loans to two Cuyahoga County firms that will bring jobs to Middleburg Heights.

Audio Video Interiors Inc.. and its Safety Technologies, Inc. affiliate sell home theater, audio and security systems.

The company is relocating from Medina County into a vacant building, bringing 28 jobs and with plans to add 5 more jobs over the next three years.

MB&W Collections Inc.  is a new consumer collection agency that will move in a vacant building and create 75 new jobs in the next three years.

FitzGerald said, "We need to be strategic about the projects we are investing in so that the economic impact of the projects can be realized as soon as possible."

The new business will bring in over $3 million worth of payroll.

Mayor Gary Starr said, "This is a shining example of how governments can be proactive and successful in working with private businesses to foster business growth for our region."
