For many this first day of the tournament comes with that so-called "March Madness Flu."
The numbers speak for themselves. Over 86% of employees now admit to spending time at their office tracking "March Madness." Contrary to popular belief the tournament isn't all bad for the workplace.
In fact, many say those workplace pools help strengthen camaraderie, bolster competition, foster collaborative skills, boost office morale and even offer a welcome mental break from work. And the facts are the facts.
A survey of office execs show most welcome the activities and diversion. And 80% say they don't think sporting events distract from work.
