When severe weather strikes in your area, it may be difficult to stay up-to-date if your power's out.
Just in time for spring storms, FirstEnergy has a new website that will allow you to report and track outages in your area.
You can also visit that site by clicking this link.
Luckily, for FirstEnergy customers, there's a way to track those outages with the click of a mouse.
FirstEnergy spokeswoman Tricia Ingraham says the site has been operational for a month. Already, more than 100,000 customers have tried it out.
"It's a great new way to keep our customers informed of outages when they occur, to understand the scope of an outage makes it easier to report," Ingraham.
Now you may be wondering if your power is out, what good will it do you to be able to access FirstEnergy on the web? Unlike the old site ,you can get this one to go.
"This new system is accessible from phone, is accessible from phone pad other mobile devices. It provides all the same info you can get from your computer," Ingraham said.
