Fugitive of the Week wanted for assaulting Willoughby police officer

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Antonio Armstrong.

Armstrong is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Willoughby Police Department and is charged with felonious assault on a police officer.

Armstrong is believed to be hiding in the Collinwood area of Cleveland. He also had a previous address near the 16400 block of Braddock Avenue in Cleveland.

It is alleged that on Jan. 7,  a Willoughby Police officer attempted to stop Armstrong who had gone to a Willoughby motel to meet a prostitute.

Armstrong fled from police, nearly hitting an officer and intentionally ramming a police car. During the pursuit he began driving the wrong way on I-90 and again struck a police car.

Armstrong crashed on E 185th Street in Cleveland and ran off on foot. He was already wanted for a probation violation stemming from a kidnapping and previous police chase.

Armstrong, 27, stands about 6 feet tall, weighs 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
