ELYRIA -- An Elyria church is robbed twice in one weekend and the culprits were two 10-year-old boys.

On a quiet Saturday morning at Liberty Baptist Church, Pastor Rick Young heard a noise downstairs.

Two 10 year old boys - members of his youth outreach program - had helped themselves to some goodies.

"They were in the basement rummaging through the toys and they had made cocoa."

Pastor Young ushered them out, but apparently, he didn't scare them away for good.

"And then Sunday morning is when all the cameras were gone and - 4 cameras and a whole bunch of toys."

$2,000 worth of church property was stolen overnight. There were no signs of breaking and entering, but as the pastor and police were investigating the missing items, something came sliding through the mail slot.

"The one with the thinnest hands...They reached through the mail slot and unlocked the two locks."

They came face to face with the pastor, then turned and ran.

"I chased them for about 2 or 3 blocks, but at 63, you know ...."

Pastor young went to the kids' home and found the toys. He handed them over to authorities.

Young says it was his civic duty. He and God will take care of the rest.

"One of the important things in working with kids at risk is pointing out what the problem is and letting them know that you're still there for them."

The two ten year old boys face charges of breaking and entering. Most of the toys and equipment were given back. Just one camera was broken during the chase.
