Maple Makers Mark Glazed Salmon
½ lb cubed unsalted Butter
1 ½ cups dark brown sugar
½ cup water
½ cup maple syrup
¾ cup Makers Mark Bourbon
In a sauce pot dissolve the brown sugar in the water over medium heat
Cook the sugar until it is reduced by half. It should coat the back of a spoon.
Add the Maple Syrup
In a sauté pan reduce the Makers Mark Bourbon by ½
Add the Bourbon to the sugar mixture and whisk until smooth.
Slowly add the cubed butter to the mixture while whisking.
Season Salmon and lightly brush with olive oil.
Mark the salmon on the grill, place on a transfer tray and place in the oven at 350 degrees for about 5-6 minutes
Pull the salmon out of the oven and pour glaze over salmon. Serve with your favorite side dish.
